The Local Government Unit of Pandan attends the Enhancement Training for Feasibility Study Preparation of Public Auction Market for Millenium Development Goal Fund at Cagayan de Oro City from 26 to 29 August, 2008. The team is headed by no other than Mayor John Sanchez, Mr. Narciso B. Riomalos - MPDO, Mrs. Myla A. Polmo - Mun. Accountant, Engr. Aristotle S. Pandongan - Mun. Engineer, Mr. Bong Palanog - MLGOO and Mr. Raymund V. Gumboc - the newly designated Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Office Manager.
The training is in line with the proposed project of the LGU to put up a Bagsakan Market and the replacement/construction of old public market buildings.
After the training, the LGU is set to complete and submit the Feasibility Study to the MDG Fund for approval and funding.
The proposed project aims to provide local farmers a sustainable market for their farm produce. It also aims to eliminate the involvement of middlemen in the distribution of food products by serving as the link between organized producers and consumers.
